The Mission
The mission of Empower Yourself is to create critical thinkers and problem solvers for the 21st century economy. To that end, we seek to make STEM and financial literacy/economic education easily accessible to those who are the most resource-challenged. Through education, we aspire to train the next generation of under-resourced, urban, students for high-paying careers in sustainable growth industries where they will thrive.
We offer an academic and extracurricular programs that address the gap in access, education and opportunity for students from 3rd through 12th grade, and sometimes adults, through interactive and engaging curriculums and opportunities for practical application.
Part of our philosophy is the belief that education should not be confined to only the classroom, and that to prepare students for the future we must equip them with the skills - not just the knowledge - to thrive. We work with our students year-round through classes, hands-on projects, internships and competitions which provides a solid foundation for their understanding while reinforcing what they have learned through practical application.
The end goal is to uplift and end conditions like poverty in the areas we serve by providing our students and communities with opportunities to pursue higher education, in competitive degrees, with minimal debt and the knowledge needed for them to succeed in their chosen career after graduating.

We engage the present and gain support from the past!
Our Alumni
Our former students have been accepted at some of the top colleges and universities in the country. Many come back to mentor and teach Empower Yourself summer program participants in conjunction with our corporate partners. With a focus on performance excellence, Empower Yourself alumni are continuously preparing to fulfill their roles as corporate and global leaders. If your organization has internship positions available that will contribute to the professional growth of these future leaders, please contact us.
Our Students
Our students participate in a year-long STEM and financial/economic literacy program which culminates in state, regional and national competitions. Though our students learn critical thinking skills, they understand the systems that drive financial decisions.

Our Outcomes
Our greatest measure of achievement has always been the number of students we are able to uplift and provide greater opportunities for. This is why we have expanded our programming and curriculum over the years to expand into areas which could further help the students and communities we serve to succeed.
Every year, we send our seniors off to some of the most prestigious and challenging colleges and universities across the country--with most having full- or nearly full-rides. These schools include: MIT, UMass Lowell, Worcester Poly Tech, Emery Riddle Aeronautical University, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, Rice University in Texas, Bentley University, Stanford University, Northeastern University, The Naval Academy, Notre Dame, Tufts University, Boston College, Emmanuel College and more.
Our students go on to pursue degrees in engineering, business administration, finance and economics, computer science, government policy, medicine, advanced sciences, and mathematics. We assist them in finding internships and building their connections, both while they are students and after they graduate, so they can easily transition into their careers after college.
The ultimate goal and outcome we pursue through all of this, is to change the narrative of what is possible and create a generation of industry and community leaders who contribute back to the communities they serve. Some have started businesses, while others contribute through sharing their knowledge and experiences with those following behind them.
The successes of our alumni have also contributed to our ability to continue growing and forming new partnerships. Today, we have more classes and programs offered in partnership with colleges and universities than ever before. We're receiving acknowledgements and support from state and federal agencies. Our students have access to internships at Google, MIT/Lincoln Labs, and Greenspace, and they participate in national competitions for aviation, coding, economics and investing.
Last year we served between 150-200 urban students between the ages of 8 and 18 in Massachusetts in after school and summer programs for 21st century careers in 3D printing, coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, aeronautics, aviation, etc.
